Roast Lion Recipe
The flavors of the two kinds of meat intermingle to create a delicious new taste. This recipe is said to be of Amish origin.

  • beef roast
  • pork roast

Directions
  1. Use equal size portions of beef and pork roasts (any cut). The total weight you need will depend on how many you are serving.
  2. Choose, for example, a beef rump roast and a fresh pork shoulder of the same weight.
  3. Place both meats in one roasting pan.
  4. Cover and roast at 325 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes per pound of meat.
  5. The beef will be well done but not dry.
  6. Slice meat.
  7. Make gravy as desired from pan juices. This is the most important part of "Roast Lion"..
  8. Serve wtih cooked egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
