RED WINE BRIE BURGERS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Marcus Estate in Wylie, Texas in 1995.

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds ground sirloin
  • 3 tablespoons red wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onions
  • 1/2 cup brie cheese

Directions
  1. Mix sirloin with wine, salt, pepper and onions then form into 8 patties.
  2. Using a wooden spoon make a small pocket in center of each burger.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon brie and pinch meat around cheese to cover.
  4. Grill over medium high for 6 minutes per side.
