Ingredients
  • 500 gm beef stew meat , cubed
  • 2 tsp rice wine
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 can button mushrooms, drained and sliced
  • 1 onion, cubed
  • 3 sticks celery , sliced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp tomato sauce
  • Black pepper according to your taste
  • 1 cube beef bouillon
  • salt if necessary
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Water

Directions
  1. On high heat , stir fry the beef with the wine until browned on all sides .
  2. Set aside .
  3. Place the beef and everythingelse except the cornstarch , with enough water to cover the ing. in a slow cooker .
  4. Set it to HIGH and cover.
  5. Cook about 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Whisk together the cornstarch with abit of water and stir into the stew.
  7. Let the stew thicken .
  8. Serve hot with Garlic Bread / Bun ....

Alterations


I would coat the meat in flour before frying then when you add the liquid your stew will have it's thickener. As time passes the stew will be thick enough when some of the liquid evaporates over time.
