Daisys 10 Minute Vegetarian Sloppy Joes Recipe
My daughter Daisy is a vegetarian and loves to try new recipes.She has been craving sloppy joes and came up with this recipe by herself. These are SO good,even beef lovers would be fooled.

Ingredients
  • 1 package thawed Boca brand ground meat.
  • 1/4 C.diced onions
  • 2/3 C.Open Pit original BBQ sauce
  • 2/3 C.Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ sauce
  • 2 T.light brown sugar
  • sliced dill pickles
  • hard roll
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 T.butter
  • cooking spray

Directions
  1. Heavily coat fry pan with cooking spray.
  2. Add butter and diced onions.
  3. Sprinkle w/salt and pepper
  4. Add meat and cook over medium heat for approx 5 minutes.(This is pre-cooked and only need to be warmed.)
  5. Stir bbq sauces and brown sugar together.
  6. Add bbq sauce to meat and cook over medium heat an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve on hardrolls.
  8. Top with pickle slices and diced onions.
  9. **I tried a bite of this and couldn't believe how great it tasted!**

Gimmie Lean also makes a great "ground beef" that comes in a plastic casing in the produce section, as well as a tasty breakfast sausage substitute. I haven't tried Gimmie Lean for sloppy joes (I usually use tempeh and have a recipe for it on here somewhere). Love SBR though, as my guy and I call it. Kudos to your daughter!
