Holiday Brunch torte

- 1 (15 oz pkg. Pillsbury All Ready refrigerated pie crusts shopping list
- 4oz.(1 cup) shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 3/4 lb. thin sliced cooked ham shopping list
- 3-4 thin sliced red potatoes shopping list
- 1 med purple onion thin sliced shopping list
- 1 (9oz) pkg. frozen cut spinach,thawed and drained1 egg shopping list
- 2tbl water shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
How to make it
- Allow the 2 crusts set to room temp
- Heat oven to 375'
- place a cookie sheet in oven to heat
- press 1 crust into a 10" deep dish pie pan
- bring crust up sides of pan
- layer the ingredients:
- 1/2 cheese
- 1/2 ham
- 1/2 potatoes
- 1/2 onions
- all of spinach
- repeat layering ending with cheese
- Add top crust
- pinch to close
- mix egg and water for egg wash
- brush on the crust
- Sprinkle with salt/pepper
- Set torte on the cookie sheet
- Bake at 375'
- til golden brown and filling is thoroughly heated

I used to make this like once a week when I first found the recipe in college.
I am a Vegetarian so I omit the ham. I am so excited to make this again, it has been about 15 years!
