Grandma Brubakers Apple Custard Pie Recipe
Grandma Bruebaker made this pie all the time. It is my mother's favorite and was lost for a time until my aunt discovered it in one of her old recipe files that was given to her by Grandma.

Your grandmother sounds pretty smart. this sounds so much faster and easier than slicing the apples. lumpy

I've never tried grating the apples for a pie - would work into the custard so nicely, I'm sure. Will give this a try - apple pie remains my husband's fave pie, and the custard is a nice addition. Thank you for sharing your prized family recipe!
