After The Holidays  French Toast Recipe
Another make ahead delcious french toast combing dried cranberries and fresh apples

Ingredients
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 loaf french bread cut into 1 inch slices
  • 3 Tsp cinnamon divided
  • 3 tart apples peeled and sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 Tbs vanilla

Directions
  1. Combine butter, sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon in a 9 x 13 pan.
  2. Add apples and cranberries and toss well
  3. Spread evenly in dish
  4. Arrange slices of bread on top
  5. Mix eggs, vanilla and remaining cinnnamon
  6. Pour over bread, soaking bread completely
  7. Cover and chill up to 24 hours
  8. Bake covered with foil in a preheated 375F oven for 40 minutes
  9. Uncover and bake 15 more minutes
  10. let stand 5 minutes before serving.
  11. Serve warm
