Beef Bourguignonne

- 5 bacon slices chopped shopping list
- 2 lbs stew meat( I use a chuck roast and cub it) shopping list
- 1 med onion diced shopping list
- 8 small red potatoes cut in half shopping list
- 3 large carrots cut rondel shopping list
- 1 16 oz can of beef broth shopping list
- 16 oz burgundy or red wine (dry)(you can sub with beef broth if you need but the alcahol evrates out) shopping list
- 4 tbs of tomato paste shopping list
- 1 tbs fresh thyme leaves shopping list
- 1tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp blk pepper shopping list
- 3 garlic cloves minced shopping list
- 2tbs cornstarch 2 tsp cold water shopping list
How to make it
- Cook bacon in a large skillet over mediom heatuntil crisp.Remove bacon,leave grease in pan brown beef in drippings until brownon all sides.
- mix reserved bacon beef onions and all ingredients in a 5-6 quart cooker(do not add cornstarch or cold water
- )
- cook on low for 7 hours
- mix cornstarch and water togather to make a slerry turn cooker on high mix in slerry intil mixed good cook another hour on high.enjoy
