Ingredients
  • 41/2 OZ DARK CHOCOLATE
  • SMALL KNOB OF BUTTER
  • 2 TSP RUM
  • 1/2 CUP SHREDDED COCONUT
  • 31/2 OZ CAKE CRUMBS
  • 6 TBSP CONFECTIONERS SUGAR
  • 2 TBSP UNSWEETENED COCOA

Directions
  1. BREAK THE CHOCOLATE INTO PIECES AND PLACE IN A BOWL WITH THE BUTTER,SET THE BOWL OVER A PAN OF SIMMERING WATER,AND STIR UNTIL MELTED.
  2. REMOVE FROM THE HEAT AND BEAT IN THE RUM,STIR IN THE SHREDDED COCONUT ,CAKE CRUMBS,AND 2 THIRDS OF THE CONFECTIONERS SUGAR.BEAT UNTIL COMBINED,ADD A LITTLE EXTRA RUM IF THE MIXTURE IS STIFF.
  3. ROLL THE MIXTURE INTO SMALL BALLS AND PLACE THEM ON A SHEET OF PARCHMENT PAPER,CHILL UNTIL FIRM
  4. SIFT THE REMAINING CONFECTIONERS SUGAR ONTO A LARGE PLATE SIFT THE COCOA ONTO ANOTHER PLATE AND ROLL THE TRUFFLE ON WHATEVER YOU DESIRE
  5. AND THEN PLACE THE TRUFFLES IN PAPER AND CHILL UNTIL SERVED,ENJOY

Sounds delish - quick question...what are cake crumbs? Do you mean to actually cut up some baked cake into crumbs, or is it something else that I am not familiar with here? Sorry for my confusion, but I would love to save the recipe to try at the holiday - sounds so yummy! Thanks!!
