How to make it

  • Defrost pie crust and set aside
  • Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
  • Brown ground beef and onions, drain
  • Stir in 1/2 Cup of cheese just until blended
  • Put ground beef mixture in the pie crust
  • Completely cover pie with prepared mashed potatoes (I used one package 4 cheese instant potatoes prepared according to package directions)
  • Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup cheese on top
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let set about 5 minutes before slicing.
