How to make it

  • Combine the cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, ginger, gloves, orange peel, raisins, sugar and wine in a large sacepan over medium or medium-low heat Stir to mix well; add the vodka, if using. Cook until it is warmed through and small bubbles begin to form at the edgees; do not let come to a boil The glogg will be fragrant.
  • Cover and let the mixture steep overnight at room temp.
  • When ready to serve, strain the mixture and reheat over low heat until warmed through. Serve warm.
  • (I'll admit, we didn't wait for it over night... Could be even better!)
