Japanese Almond Cookies

- 2 sticks butter shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 cups sliced almonds shopping list
- 1/4 cup honey shopping list
- 1/3 cup heavy cream shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350ยบ F.
- Grease and flour a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- Beat together 1 stick butter, flour, 1 cup sugar, and the egg.
- Press mixture into the bottom of the pan.
- Bake until golden brown (10 to 15 minutes).
- Mix together the other stick of butter, remaining sugar, honey, and cream in a small pot on medium heat.
- Cook until it bubbles and continue boiling over medium heat until soft-ball stage.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the almonds.
- Quickly pour over the crust and bake again until the top is browned (5 to 15 minutes).
