Corn Fritters

- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 2 cups canned cream style corn shopping list
- 1 10 oz package frozen corn- thawed shopping list
- several grindings of fresh pepper to taste shopping list
- vegetable oil for frying shopping list
How to make it
- In medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add remainig ingredients except oil. Mix well
- Add cooking oil to deep skillet about 1" in depth and heat until a drop of water sprinkled in it sizzles.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of the batter into hot oil.
- Fry 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown,, may need to carefull turn midway thru cooking
- Fry no more than 4 to 6 at a time.
- remove with slotted spoon and drain.
