Chocolate Hazelnut Spread Recipe
Mkae you very own hazelnut chocolate spread, adapted from a German recipe. To approximate grams to ounces multiply grams by 0.035

Ingredients
  • 150 g Crème fraiche
  • 2 Päckchen Vanillezucker- 2 packets vanilla sugar - or make your own vanilla sugar - see below
  • 50 g Zucker- Sugar
  • 200 g Vollmilch Schokolade(in kleine Stücke), full cream milk chocolate in little pieces
  • 2 EL Haselnuss ol- 2 Tbs hazelnut oil
  • 3 EL Wasser- 2 Tbs water

Directions
  1. Combine cream fraiche, vanilla sugar, sugar in a pot and warm to dissolve sugar, blending well.
  2. Heat chocolate with the water in a microwave till melted and stir smooth. ( around 2 minutes ).
  3. Blend in the cream mixture till smooth.
  4. Blend in the hazelnut oil well
  5. Place mixture in a glass container, cover and chill.
  6. Stir well before using
  7. To make your own vanilla sugar:
  8. scrape out the seeds from a vanilla bean or split the bean open exposing the seeds and place in a small container of sugar, seal and let mellow for a few days or as long as you wish

That sounds good. About 8 g vanilla sugar to a packet?


I am not sure how many grams to a packet of vailla sugar. They can be found in the supermarket, baking /dessert section, Dr Oetker is one popular brand in the states, I do think 8 to 10 grams is a safe bet!
