I found this recipe in 1968 in an Alaskan travel guide magazine. Originally done in a cast iron skillet, I now do in a non-stick oven proof skillet. The Kirschwasser drizzled over the top is out of this world or you can use a sweet dessert wine.

That sounds delicious - would love to try it in my cast iron as well (love the crustiness the pan gives things like this, even though it is a mess to clean up!)...thank you for sharing this. I have never done a blueberry upside down, but will definitely do so now.
