Not Your Typical Tuna Casserole Recipe
I call this "comfort food". It's not Mom's tuna casserole.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 cups small shell macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans white tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green onions, thinly sliced
  • (At times I add a can of drained musrhooms too, if they are on hand.)

Directions
  1. In large bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, milk, Parmesan , mustard, salt and pepper.
  2. Fold in macaroni, broccoli, tuna, red bell pepper, green onion and mushrooms (if using).
  3. Transfer to greased 2 quart casserole.
  4. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
