- Pie filling: shopping list
- 6 Cups apples,peeled and sliced shopping list
- 3/4 Cup sugar shopping list
- 2 Tablespoon flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons Fresh lemon juice shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons Fresh butter shopping list
- Pie Bottom~(soon to be Top): shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons butter shopping list
- 3/4 Cup pecan halves shopping list
- 1/3 Cup brown sugar,packed firm shopping list
How to make it
- Line a 9" pie plate with foil,over bottom,up sides,and over.
- Butter the foil.
- Place pecan halves rounded side down,top with sugar.
- Place pie crust over this mixture.
- In bowl combine apples,sugar,flour,salt,and lemon juice,mix ever so lightly.
- Spoon into pastry lined pan,place butter on top.
- Top with another pie crust,fold edge,seal ,slice through the covering to allow for steam.
- Bake in a 450 degrees oven for 10 minutes,cover edge of pie edge with pie rim shield to keep from browning to excess.
- Lower the oven to 375 degrees,and bake for about 35 minutes.
- Cool pie upright for about 6 minutes.
- Turn over onto serving plate.
- Cool for about 1-1/2 Hours.
- Whip Cream with a small amount of hazenut liquid creamer,and top pie slices.
