Chocolate Sauce Recipe

	Erin / All my dishes 2 years, 5 months ago I always have squares of various flavors of chocolate left over after baking. I save up these leftovers and when i have enough, I make this sauce. Ingredients

6-8 ozs High quality chocolate, finely chopped.

1 cup Heavy cream

1/2 cup light corn syrup

1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Place chocolate in a stainless bowl.

Mix cream, vanilla and corn syrup in a stainless pot.

Bring cream, vanilla and corn syrup to a simmer.

Pour the mixture over the chopped chocolate and allow to melt for 3-4 minutes.

Wisk to combine.

The sauce is great on ice cream. Although I would be sure to use mostly semi-sweet chocolate for ice cream. Bitter-sweet might be, well, too bitter.
