Steaks Oaxaca Recipe
STEAKS OAXACA This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Alford Estate in Tyler, Texas in 1987.

Ingredients
  • 3 large cloves garlic pressed
  • 2 teaspoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 6 rib eye steaks

Directions
  1. In small bowl mix all ingredients except steak then blend thoroughly to make a paste.
  2. Rub evenly into all surfaces of steak then wrap loosely in plastic and refrigerate 8 hours.
  3. Grill or broil steak to desired doneness.
