Easy Taco Casserole

- 8 oz. (about 3 cups) rotini (spiral pasta) shopping list
- 1 lb. extra lean ground beef shopping list
- 1./2 medium onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 (15 oz) cans pinto or kidney beans, drained, rinsed shopping list
- 1 (27 oz) jar spaghetti sauce shopping list
- 1 (4.5 oz) can chopped green chiles shopping list
- 1 (1.25 oz) pkg. taco seasoning mix shopping list
- 1./2 cup water shopping list
- TOPPING: shopping list
- 2 cups baked corn chips shopping list
- 4 oz (1 cup) shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Cook rotini in large pot according to pkg. directions. Drain; return pot.
- Meanwhile, heat oven to 400deg.F. Spray 13X9 inch (3 quart) glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. In large nonstick skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat for 5 to 7 min.. Add all remaining casserole ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer until thoroughly heated.
- Add ground beef mixture to cooked rotini; mix well. Spoon into sprayed baking dish. Top evenly with chips and cheese.
- Bake at 400 deg. for 15 to 20 min. or until bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
