Carrot Wine

- 6 Pounds of carrots shopping list
- 1 Pound of Wheat(or)Puffed Wheat cereal shopping list
- 2 oranges shopping list
- 2 lemons shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons raisins shopping list
- 4 Pounds sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Wash the carrots,but do not peel them.
- Grate into a gallon of water,bring to boil and cook until tender.
- Strain off the liquid through a cloth into a large glass bottle.
- Boil half of the sugar in 1 quart of water for about 4 minutes.
- Cool,and add grated orange and lemon peel.
- Slice up the fruit of the orange and lemon and add them as will.
- Add the raisins and wheat cereal,and brewers yeast.
- Fit the fermentation lock and let ferment for 7 days.
- Siphon the liquid into another jug.
- Boil the balance of the sugar in 1 quart of water for about 4 minutes.
- Cool to lukewarm,and add.
- Fit the fermentation lock and let ferment until the fermentation stops.
- Siphon into jug,filling to the top,so there is no air in the jug.
- Fit on a fermentation lock and leave until clear(or)Polished,then siphon in bottles or jugs and cap.
- Note: I have not made this wine,but would like to,just out of curiosity sake.
