I was inspired to dig out this recipe after reading ChefMeow's elegant fruit recipe. It is easy and delicious for brunch or as a side for pork or chicken. A scoop of ice cream could make it a dessert!

Ingredients
  • Dried apricots, cut into chunks
  • Canned pineapple chunks, drained
  • Pitted cherries
  • Canned pears, drained and cut into chunks
  • Canned peaches, drained and cut into chunks
  • Macaroons
  • Butter
  • Amaretto
  • These are only suggestions; use the fruits you have available and those you love.

Directions
  1. Combine all the fruits in a baking dish;
  2. Crumble the macaroons over the fruits;
  3. Dot with butter;
  4. Sprinkle with amaretto;
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes until crumbles are nicely browned.
