How to make it

  • Combine crumbs, sugar and margarine and reserve 1/2 cup.
  • Press remaining onto bottom of spring form pan.
  • Soften gelatin in water then stir over low heat until dissolved.
  • Add juice, egg yolks, 1/4 cup sugar and peel.
  • Cook stirring constantly over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  • Gradually add to cream cheese mixing at medium speed until well blended.
  • Beat whites until foamy then gradually add remaining sugar and beat until peaks form.
  • Fold into cream cheese mixture then pour over crust and top with reserved crumbs.
  • Chill until firm.
