Sherry Custard Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1- quart milk

3/4-- cup sugar

1- egg

3- egg yolks

3- Tablespoon cornstarch

1/8- teaspoon salt

1/2-- cup Cream Sherry

1- - teaspoon rum or rum flavoring

Directions

Cook milk, sugar, cornstarch and salt over medium heat, stirring constantly until slightly thickened

Beat egg yolks and 1 whole egg…..

Add 1 cup hot milk mixture to beaten egg yolks, stir and return to hot milk…….

Continue cooking and stirring constantly , but do not boil, until of custard consistency………

Add rum and cream sherry

Cool and serve over cake or your favorite dessert……..

8 servings……..
