Ingredients

How to make it

  • Freeze steak a while until it's easily cut, and then slice it as thin as possible.
  • Chop onions.
  • Melt butter over medium heat. Saute onions until caramelized, 15-20 minutes. With slotted spoon, remove onions to bowl.
  • Brown beef.
  • In small bowl, mix flour, sugar, and spices.
  • Return onions and any juices to pan.
  • Add 1 cup broth then flour mixture to pan; stir 1 minute till bubbly.
  • Gradually add rest of broth (I don't usually add the whole 24 oz.), stirring to scrape drippings; simmer 10 minutes.
  • Serve over noodles; top with shredded cheese.

It's wonderful!! Beyond yummy...So glad I tried it..Fixed this up on a cold night when our daughter and her family were over. Son-in-law told our daughter 'don't leave this house without that recipe'! Grandson (3) took home the leftovers and ate for lunch and dinner the next day too. :)

That sounds yummy - the flavors of brown sugar and cumin would give it an interesting flavor twist...and caramelized onions make everything delish - I'll be trying this one. Thanks!
