Vanilla Syrup Recipe
Delicious vanilla syrup.Drizzle over fresh fruit salads or baked fruits or use to flavor cocktails etc. Keeps chiled 3 months.

Ingredients
  • 11/4c sugar
  • 11/4c water
  • 1 vanilla bean,fresh and moist,split in half lengthwise

Directions
  1. In med-heavy saucepan,combine sugar,water and vanilla bean. Heat over low heat,stirring occasionally,until liquid is cleas and fragrant,about 15 mins;remove from heat and let cool to room trmperature,about 20 mins.Scrape seeds from vanilla pod and stir into syrup;discard pod.
  2. Drizzle syrup over fresh fruit salad or baked fruits.
  3. Makes 13/4 cups.

This is like the syrups they sell to put in your coffee? If so.. I will be bouncing off the walls from the caffeine and sugar. What a way to go! LOL
