How to make it

  • Mix syrup, sugar, salt, butter and vanilla.
  • Add slightly beaten eggs.
  • Pour into a 9-inch unbaked pie shell.
  • Sprinkle pecans over "filling".
  • Bake in a 350-degree oven for approximately 45 minutes.
  • Top with whipped cream or ice cream or just eat it plain.
