Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons old bay seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 pound kielbasa per person
  • 1/2 pound raw shrimp in shell per person
  • 3 small new potatoes per person
  • 1 ear corn per person
  • 1 carrot per person quartered
  • 1 small onion per person

Directions
  1. Boil water in a very large steam kettle on stove or on an outdoor cooker.
  2. Season water with herbs and spices.
  3. Pour in lemon juice and vinegar.
  4. Add sausage, potatoes, carrots and onions then bring to boil and boil for 25 minutes.
  5. Add corn and boil for 5 minutes longer.
  6. Finally add shrimp and simmer for 5 minutes more.
