Meatballs Over Rice

- Sauce: shopping list
- 1 c. sugar shopping list
- 1/3 c. red wine vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 c. water shopping list
- 1/4 c. soy sauce shopping list
- 3 tbsp. ketchup shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. pepper shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger shopping list
- Meatballs: shopping list
- 1 lb. hamburger shopping list
- 1 1/3 c. bread crumbs shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- TIP: Add some spices like crushed red pepper and more for a more sweet and spicy dinner. shopping list
- Rice: shopping list
- 7 cups of cooked brown rice ( more or less depending on the people you're serving ) shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Sauce:
- Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan.
- Whisk over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and let simmer until needed.
- Meatballs:
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Knead them together with hands ( the same way you would with meat loaf )
- Take a small icecream scoop or spoon and make small to medium sized meatballs.
- Drop into a hot skillet coated with olive oil.
- Cook until done.
- Rice:
- Cook the brown rice following the directions given on the package.
- Seaon with salt and pepper to your liking.
- Scoop up some rice, top with meatballs, and pour over some sauce.
- You're ready to eat, enjoy!
