How to make it

  • Sift dry ingredients together and set aside.
  • Cream butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla together until fluffy.
  • Blend in dry ingredients alternately with milk mixing well after each addition.
  • Fold in sweet potatoes, nuts and raisins then pour into greased and floured tube pan.
  • Bake at 350 for 45 minutes then cool on wire rack 15 minutes.
  • Invert onto serving plate and cool completely then frost with frosting and garnish with almonds.
  • For frosting beat all frosting ingredients together until smooth and of spreading consistency.
