Ingredients
  • 3 c. chicken broth
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Dash of white pepper
  • 1 med. green onion (with top), chopped
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 2 tablespoon cold water
  • Soy sauce to taste (optional)

Directions
  1. Heat chicken broth, salt and white pepper to boiling in 2 quart saucepan.
  2. Stir green onion into eggs.
  3. Pour egg mixture slowly into broth, stirring constantly with fork until egg forms shreds.
  4. 3 servings (about 1 cup each).
  5. Thicken with cornstarch in wanted.
  6. Add soy if wanted.
  7. I used to buy the boxed until I found this a couple years ago... I have this for lunch quite often.
  8. Enjoy!

Alterations


i made this because ive been craving chinese food and in Alanya there aren't many good chinese restraunts ^_^ i beated the some flour with the eggs and it made a good consistency. also, i tried with some pomegranty soy sauce and egg noodles...this paired nice with stir fried noodle-THANKS!
