Connies Barbeque Sauce

- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil shopping list
- 3 garlic cloves, peeled shopping list
- 2 1/4 cups ketchup shopping list
- 3/4 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 1/3 cup bourbon shopping list
- 3 tablespoons hot pepper sauce shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper shopping list
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- 6 tablespoons (packed) dark brown sugar shopping list
- 4 1/2 tablespoons (light) molasses shopping list
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Press garlic through garlic press into pan. Stir 30 seconds.
- Add the ketchup, broth, bourbon, hot pepper sauce, cayenne, soy sauce, brown sugar, molasses, and vinegar.
- Bring sauce to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer until reduced to 3 cups, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes.
- Store in a non-reactive bowl in the fridge.
- Can be made 1 week ahead.
