HOMEMADE LIMONCELLO

- 1 liter of 100-proof vodka shopping list
- Peels of 3-4 lemons, white pith included shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups water shopping list
- 2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Pour the vodka into a large glass jar.
- Add the lemon peels.
- Seal and set aside for 3 days.
- After 3 days, fill a large saucepan with the water
- Add the sugar and bring to a boil; stirring frequently..
- Cook uncovered at a low boil for 4-5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
- Add the vodka and lemon peels and set aside for 1 hour..
- Discard the lemon peels.
- Use a funnel to pour the vodka into bottles and seal tightly. This is a must have for anyone who loves Limoncello. Hand molded and painted by skilled Italian artisans. A perfect way to add a touch of elegance to your next Italian dinner party.
- Place in the freezer for 6-8 hours to chill completely..
- Store in the freezer, so that the drink is cold when ready to serve
