The ginger sauce: buy 150 gr fresh ginger , peel and cut in cm pieces, cook with 300 ml water and 200 gr sugar till sauce is thick and ginger pieces have dark color, you can make the syrup thicker or less thick adding sugar or water, the ginger pieces chopped give a nice flavour to cakes etc.
