West Indies Crab Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound jumbo lump crabmeat
  • 1 medium yellow onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 2 teaspoons capers
  • 6 bay leaves
  • 6 ounces cider vinegar
  • 3 ounces vegetable oil
  • 4 ounces ice water

Directions
  1. Layer crab and onions then sprinkle each layer with celery seed and capers.
  2. Toss in a few bay leaves in each layer.
  3. Mix vinegar, oil and water and pour over crabmeat mixture.
  4. Refrigerate overnight.

OMG! It almost sounds like a crabcake without being baked...yum! I have recipe overload. I wonder if I can take two aspirin and feel better?? Kidding...


Not aspirin....use Advil...LOL.
