Peking Style Asparagus Recipe
PEKING STYLE ASPARAGUS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hamm Estate in Plano, Texas in 1999.

Ingredients
  • 14 ounce can asparagus well drained
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sherry
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Directions
  1. Heat pan then add oil, stock, water, sherry, soy sauce and cornstarch.
  2. Stir until boiling then add asparagus and heat thoroughly.
  3. Serve immediately with shaved white cheese over top.

I love asparagus but have never tried it this way. Sounds delicious!


This recipe sounds good, but I think I would grill my asparagus, then place in the sauce. I like the recipe though~
