This how I grew up - my mom made the playdough - always made to the exact color - and easily replaced.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 3 drops food color (you choose the colors)
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 tbsps cream of tarter

Directions
  1. Add the first two ingredients - bring to a boil - add a few drops of food color.
  2. add the rest of the ingredients to the water - mix well and store in and air tight container.
