Memaws Broccoli ETC salad

I think Memaw made this with what was leftover in the refrigerator. It is a flavorful tasty salad. Great on a bed of lettuce and a nice cheddar pepper biscuit on the side.
Ingredients
- 4 cups of chopped broccoli flowerettes blanched in boiling water for 3 minutes and then plunged in ice water to refresh. shopping list
- 1 cup of chopped celery shopping list
- 1/2 cup of chopped green onion, green and white both shopping list
- 2/3 cup of toasted slivered almonds shopping list
- 8 strips of fried bacon, cooled crumbled-use more if you want shopping list
- 1 cup of red grapes shopping list
- 1 cup of green grapes shopping list
- 3 cups of chunked chicken (taken from a rotisserie bird) shopping list
- 1 cup of mayonnaise shopping list
- 1/2 tsp of seasoned salt shopping list
- 1/3 cup of sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp of white wine vinegar (or apple cider) shopping list
How to make it
- Combine ingredients.
- Serve on a bed of lettuce.
- We've been known to use melon wedges as a boat for the chicken salad filling allowing 1/3 of a melon per person.
- It is sweet crunchy, slightly salty and delicious.
