This is a family favorite, can be made ahead of time, refrigerate and bake before serving.

Ingredients
  • 1 bunch of broccoli
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1-1/2 cup milk
  • 1-1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 12 oz can corn or frozen corn
  • 1/4 cup crushed corn flakes

Directions
  1. Prepare broccoli, peel stems and separate flowers
  2. Steam broccoli and stems until tender crisp.
  3. Arrange broccoli in a 11"x7" oven safe pan so that the flowers are around the outer edge.
  4. Put the stem in the middle, they'll be covered with the sauce
  5. Make a white sauce with the butter, flour, salt and milk
  6. Cook until thickened
  7. Add cheese and cook until melted
  8. Add corn and mix to combine
  9. Spoon cheese corn mixture over the stems of the broccoli
  10. Sprinkle with crushed corn flakes
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
