Hummus Recipe
I love hummus and though it would be hard to make. After making this once, I've never bought from the store again. So simple, and a great snack to have on hand!

Ingredients
  • 2 cups canned garbanzo beans, drained and juices reserved
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves of garlic (preferably minced, but not necessary)

Directions
  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. If consistency is too thick for your liking, gradually add reserved garbanzo bean juice until the mixture is thin enough.
  3. Transfer to a serving dish. *** Optional: garnish with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, a pinch of paprika, and 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley.
  4. Serve with warm pita, veggies of your choice (I prefer bell peppers, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, and radishes) and feta cheese.

Now I know how you're doing it - I think Mich adds more garlic?? I have to stop buying mine and make yours instead...I'm just being lazy (I'd rather be baking cookies!) ~ love ya...


I have never made before, but this seems simple enough for Sally and me to give it a whirle....:)
