Black Cod In Miso Glaze Recipe
Here's another tasty and easy fish recipe. I serve it with rice pilaf and asparagus. It would be really nice topped with peashoots!

Ingredients
  • 4 black cod fillets
  • For the marinate:
  • 1/4 cup sake
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 4 tablespoons of white miso paste
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar

Directions
  1. Mix the marinate ingredients thoroughly in a plastic ziplock bag for 3 hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  3. Preheat an indoor grill at the same time.
  4. Lightly wipe off any excess miso marinate clinging to the fish fillets but don’t rinse it off. Save marinade for later.
  5. Place the fish on the grill and lightly grill on both sides until the surface turns brown.
  6. Transfer the fish fillets to an oven proof dish and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Slowly heat marinade in sauce pan and glaze fish before serving.
