Milwaukee Brisket of Beef

- 1 5 to 6 pound beef brisket shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 2 large onions. Sliced shopping list
- 1 bottle Chile sauce shopping list
- 1 bottle beer (Darker stouts will give it a different flavor than a nuttier pilsner) shopping list
- 1/2 a pound of light brown sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Season meat and put on top rack of a 250 degree oven for 2 hours.
- Remove from oven, degrease.
- Trim off obvious fat and discard.
- Lay sliced onions on top of meat
- Mix sauce, beer and sugar in a bowl.
- Pour 1/2 sauce over the meat.
- Roast 3 more hours., basting every so often with remaining sauce.
- Slice meat and serve with sauce and onion.
- **It may sound like a long time, but brisket needs a long time to cook. Leftovers make great sandwiches the next day.
