Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium, heavy-bottomed saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally for 1 1/2 hours. Pumpkin butter should thicken as the water is cooked out. Mixture should be quite thick at the end. Be careful not to scorch.
  • Let cool in pan for 20 minutes. Spoon into clean glass jars or a plastic container. May be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
  • This is great on toast, muffins, bisquits or scones.
