Easy Boiled Cabbage And Corned Beef Recipe
This is a family favorite that I have ate on St. Patricks Day, as long as I can remember. Give me a cold glass of butter milk, some hot pepper and a piece of corn bread and I'm a happy camper,lol.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 Cabbage, (I had a large cabbage head so I used half of it)
  • 1 (12 0z.) can corned beef, ( I use Hormel)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 baking potato, cut into cubed
  • black pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Cut cabbage up, into a stock pot. Add water , just enough to cover half of the cabbage, (because the cabbage cooks down.)
  2. Add the potato and onion.
  3. add the corned beef and pepper.
  4. Turn heat on, med-high. When the cabbage comes to a full boil, turn down on low.
  5. Cover and Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, or until cabbage and potato, are tender.
