How to make it

  • Soak skewers in warm water for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • In blender, combine cream, spices, salt, onion and garlic. Process until smooth.
  • Cut chicken and beef into 1/4 inch thick slices.
  • In bowl, toss chicken and beef strips in marinade. Let stand 15 minutes.
  • Preheat broiler.
  • Thread some chicken and beef strips onto skewers without crowding, using about three-fourths of the skewer.
  • Discard remaining marinade.
  • Broil on a well oiled broiler pan for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until just cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, in bowl, whisk together sauce ingredients.
  • Micorwave sauce 30 to 45 seconds or until smooth and heated through.
  • Serve satays with sauce.
