How to make it

  • Stir cornmeal into 1 c. cold water in a bowl
  • Bring 3 c. water and salt to a boil in a large saucepan. A
  • Add cornmeal mixture to the boiling water gradually, stirring constantly.
  • cook for 5 to 10 minutes or until thickened.
  • Pour into loaf pan and let cool.
  • cover with plastic wrap and fridge over night.
  • Slice 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices and dredge lightly in flour.
  • Fry in hot butter, or bacon fat or oil until golden brown. I use maple Syrup. so does Kenny.

    Hey Steff
    I don't think my husband likes it. He didn't go back for seconds. Oh well, more for me. Got over 1/2 left for me. everyone has turned their nose up at it. afraid to try.lol
