Fried Cornmeal Mush

- 1 c. cornmeal shopping list
- 1 c. cold water shopping list
- 3 c. water shopping list
- 1 teas. salt shopping list
- 1T. butter, bacon fat, or veg. oil shopping list
- 2 T. flour shopping list
How to make it
- Stir cornmeal into 1 c. cold water in a bowl
- Bring 3 c. water and salt to a boil in a large saucepan. A
- Add cornmeal mixture to the boiling water gradually, stirring constantly.
- cook for 5 to 10 minutes or until thickened.
- Pour into loaf pan and let cool.
- cover with plastic wrap and fridge over night.
- Slice 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices and dredge lightly in flour.
- Fry in hot butter, or bacon fat or oil until golden brown. I use maple Syrup. so does Kenny.
