Strawberry Coffee Cake with crumb topping

- • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour shopping list
- • 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- • 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- • 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- • 1/2 cup milk shopping list

- • 2 tablespoons melted butter shopping list
- • 1 1/2 cups strawberries, sliced shopping list

- • 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- • 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- • 1/4 cup butter shopping list
How to make it
- Sift together the 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, egg, and melted butter; beat 2 minutes. Spoon batter into a greased and floured 8-inch square baking pan. Top with sliced strawberries. Combine 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup sugar; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add chopped pecans or walnuts. Sprinkle crumb topping over the strawberries. Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes. Serves 8
