How to make it

  • Thoroughly dust a large cookie sheet with confectioner's sugar, then set aside.
  • Combine granulated white sugar and syrup in heavy pan and cook on low heat until sugar is dissolved. Stir as needed. Then boil, without stirring, to hard crack stage (300 degrees). Remove from heat and add food coloring and oil.
  • Pour onto cookie sheet, cool completely, and break into small pieces.
  • (In the Dragon Keeper Chronicles, lightrock most commonly comes in a blue color. But as in the Cavern of Rainbows, we see other colors as well, so you can use your imagination. Match up other colors and oils to make a variety.)
