Now, this is quite the "concoction" I'm not sure I could face this in the a.m., dear. Maybe after a few drinks the night before?

Drawn in on this one! I can say I love your little family story. But a little afraid to try your recipe. I do like warmed up spaghetti, but the Grape Jelly? Your Father is a brave soul he must be from the depression era. His cooking sounds just like my Uncles...Anything goes!

Actually, for many folks who don't use wine in cooking, a dab of grape jelly is a normal ingredient in spag. sauce, and jelly on eggs is popular with many folks, too.
I'd definitely try it!

Fun post, I may have tried this about 70 years ago but think I'll pass. That will leave more for others.

I have read all the comments and want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to comment on the Concoction recipe. I know that most of the responses are, OMG he used grape jelly in the spaghetti! Then again one of the best known cocktail meatball recipes that I know of uses grape jelly and chili sauce to simmer the meat balls in and we are used to that. So this is not that far out there. Thank you for your interest.
