Pan-fried Crab Cakes With Cilantro Lime Sauce

- 1 lb. lump crab meat, cartilage and shell removed shopping list
- 4 scallions, minced (green part only) shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro, or parsley shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning shopping list
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs shopping list
- 3-4 tablespoons mayo shopping list
- 1 egg, mixed shopping list
- 2 cups dry bread crumbs shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 1 cup mayo shopping list
- 1/4 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 3 tablespoons cilantro shopping list
- 1 tablespoon grated lime zest shopping list
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, minced shopping list
How to make it
- Mix the first 6 ingredients, gently
- season with salt and pepper
- fold in the egg until sticky
- form the mixture into cakes
- refrigerate for 1-2 hours
- coat the cakes with crumbs
- pan fry in oil about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Dallop the cilantro lime sauce alongside each cake
- To make the sauce combine the last 6 ingredients, stir well and refrigerate until chilled and thickened.
